How long does it take to get OVIA running in our school?

Most schools are live in two to three weeks. We collect your existing data, set up classes and fee structures, train your staff on-site, and then go live one module at a time so nothing breaks for parents.

We already use another system. Can you migrate our data?

Yes, free of cost. Share your current data in any format (Excel, CSV, or an export from your old ERP) and our team handles the cleanup and import.

Is training included? Our staff is not very tech-savvy.

Training is included and we do it in Hindi or English, on your school premises. We also leave behind printed quick-start cards for each role.

Do we need internet in every classroom?

No. Teachers can mark attendance and homework on their phone using mobile data. Internet in classrooms is helpful but not required.

Is our students' data safe? Where is it stored?

Your data is hosted on AWS Mumbai, encrypted at rest and in transit, with daily backups. Only authorised users in your school can access it through role-based permissions.

Can parents use OVIA without a smartphone?

Yes. Parents without smartphones get the same updates by SMS and printed receipts. The smartphone app is a bonus, not a requirement.

What happens if we want to stop using OVIA?

There is no contract lock-in. If you decide to leave, we export all your data in standard formats and hand it over within seven days.

Do you support UDISE+ and NEP 2020 reporting?

UDISE+ data exports and NEP-aligned holistic assessment cards are built into the platform and currently in beta with select schools. We are actively refining these with our beta schools and plan general availability shortly.
